Kid nutrition is one of the most important aspects of a developing child’s life, and it’s not something that a parent can just pass off and not worry about. However, it is also one of the biggest difficulties that parents face- to get their kids to eat a nutritious diet. We all know that most children will do anything just to get out of eating foods they do not like.
For instance, let us take a look at breakfast. What can you do to get your kid to eat a good breakfast when he says he is not hungry? You must know that not all kids get hungry when they first wake up in the morning but only start getting hungry around the middle of the morning. If this describes your kid, do not insist that he eat breakfast before leaving the house. Instead pack some snacks like granola bars or cheese and crackers which he can eat in the car or on the bus on the way to school.
What about vegetables? Should you force your kid to eat them? The trick is you can often substitute fruit or different grains for vegetables. You can also try preparing the vegetables differently like steaming instead of cooking them. Some kids will only eat one or two different vegetables. It is still okay even if you feed them that vegetable over and over again.
Most parents wonder if they should give their children multivitamins. If your kid is already eating a varied and balanced diet, then there is no need for him to take any multivitamin. However, if he does not eat well, you may consider giving him some.
